Yellow Painted Wicker Chairs

***I am pulling this post out of the archives and updating it completely! See the new version below:
When Mr. Charming and I bought our little farm town cottage last year there was one big eye sore that needed to be addressed. The deck might have been a wonderful asset to the property had the boards not been moldy and sagging and in desperate need of a new coat of stain.
Well, we were able to fix it all up (read about our deck transformation), and were so excited to begin enjoying it, but had one little problem: nothing to sit on. What good is a big deck with a view if you can’t kick up your feet to enjoy it? So, in my usual frugal way, I set out to searching for a solution at local garage sales and stumbled upon two worn out wicker chairs. Keep reading to see how these two became beautiful yellow painted wicker chairs.
Obviously they needed a face lift and what easier way to update something than with spray paint? I wish I could give you a thorough tutorial on specific techniques and tricks I used for making these perfect, but the reality is; I just slopped a couple of coats on them and called it a day! I’m happy to say, they look just as great and fresh a year later.
It was great to have a project go quickly and turn out so drastically different. Now we enjoy coming out to sit and watch Jordan play and enjoy the beauties of nature in our backyard.
Do you have something that could use a quick spray paint transformation? I’d love to hear about them! Share your projects on my Facebook page!
