A little more than a year ago I started this blog on a whim. It’s grown and changed and helped me grow and change in the process. By the end of 2015, Charming Imperfection had become more of a business and I, a determined and focused business owner. The process of publishing posts, doing DIY projects, and promoting this online business was calculated and precise. Every step was done with the intention of furthering my business goals.
I had every intention of going into 2016 with as much drive and hustle if not more. Obviously, something happened to change those plans for, as you can see, I haven’t posted in weeks, haven’t responded to comments on social media, and have basically disappeared.
I’m pregnant!!!!
Our little family will grow by one member around August 3.
Now, I expected I’d have to take a break from blogging when the newborn arrived, what I didn’t expect was how this little one would start changing my life as soon as he/she became a reality. With my first pregnancy, I experienced a little sickness, but not enough to slow or halt my life in anyway. This pregnancy so far has been an entirely different story.
I have been so sick all day everyday that just keeping up with the most basic chores of life: caring for Jordan (who is now two), keeping the house in order, taking care of myself, are just about all I’ve been able to handle. Suddenly blogging and building a business became low on my priority list when simply trying to survive.
I have felt a little bad to have abandoned blogging so suddenly and with no warning, but life would have it no other way. Looking forward, I’m not completely shutting down Charming Imperfections, but I can’t say how long this break will last (hopefully no later than the end of this first trimester).
Thank you to everyone for hanging in with me here and checking in despite my lack of posting. I hope to get back to it soon, but for now, my first and only job is to take care of my family.

Aaaahh!! How exciting! Congratulations! I love your blog, but will be rooting for you while you take a break and handle your personal life.
Rebekah,
I am thrilled for your developing party of four. I hope you begin to feel better soon. You are already caring for three people along with your hard working husband. May God bless all of you as your family grows.
Happy Creating (Aug. 2016)
