Are you hard to buy gifts for? It’s ok to admit it because sometimes we don’t even know it ourselves. Well, don’t fret, because I have put together some convenient wish lists for you to forward to your loved ones to make things a lot easier on everybody.
Really, this is just the wish list I came up with for myself, but thought it might be nice to share with you, since I have the feeling we are a like in a lot of ways.

I’ve broken down the lists into categories: DIY, Mom, and Photography. Are you ready to see your DIY Mom’s Christmas wish list?
DIY Wish List
(1) Kreg Clamp, (2) Kreg Jig, (3) Ryobi Cordless Miter Saw, (4) Ryobi Jig Saw, (5) Ryobi Airstrike, (6) Dewalt Router, (7) Professional Wax brush, (8) Purdy Brush set
1. I feel I must give a quick reason why I’m including each item. The right angle Kreg clamp is something I’ve found myself needing many times. It’s great for, well, those right angle joints you are trying to attach together. If you are wanting to build any kind of cabinets, boxes, or right angled things, this clamp makes things a lot easier.
2. The Kreg Jig is something I’ve had for a while now, but am including it on this list because if you don’t have one an you love DIY…you need one! They are the bees knees 😉
3. I need a miter saw. I’ve been making due with a circular saw for the entire time I’ve been doing DIY, but, really, it’s time to move on. Nothing against the ol’ circular, but I know I could do better with a Miter. I love the size of this one from Ryobi.
4. Today I realized it was time to give up on my old jig saw. The $20 Walmart purchase has seen better days. I need a nice new Ryobi one like the one in the list 😉
5. While we are on the topic of upgrading tools. My nailer has just about had it as well. I’m so ready for an Airstrike. These babies are powerful, quiet, and super easy to use!
6. I’ve only really needed a router once or twice, but it’s one of those things that can’t be substituted with anything else, so, it’s on the list.
7. 8. For painting I included a nice new wax brush and some Purdy brushes. I’m always needing more of these!
Mom Wish List
(1) Pyrex Containers, (2) Brother Sewing Machine, (3) Bissel Vaccuum, (4) Mop and Broom Holder, (5) Purposeful Life Planner, (6) Bath Toy Organizer, (7) Grocery Bag Holder, (8) Plaid Throw, (9) Cabinet organizer, (10) Papermate Felt Pens
Looking over this list I realize it’s painfully practical, but when you are trying to live on $25,000 a year these are luxuries I wouldn’t normally buy for myself.
1. Our Pyrex containers from our wedding are ready for an overhaul. Between missing lids, cracked lids, and other such damage, we are ready for new ones.
2. I’ve always said, “I’m not into cooking or sewing and probably never will be”, but lately I’ve seen so many cool sewing projects that it kind of makes me want to give it a try. How about you? Would you be excited to try sewing if someone got you this machine?
3. 4. New vacuum doesn’t need much explanation. Neither does the mop and broom holder (I just REALLY would like to have one in place of the nails that are on the wall now).
5. The Purposeful Life Planner, however, does deserve some explanation. If you don’t know Ruth Soukup from Living Well Spending Less, she is a genius when it comes to saving money, living the good life, and teaching others how to do the same. I’m so excited that she came out with a planner and would LOVE to get one for our family.
6. 7. 8. Again, a toy organizer, bag holder, painfully practical, but things that would be nice to have, right?
(1) Canon EOS T5 (2) Canon Speedlight Flash (3) Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens (4) Tripod (5) Remote Trigger
- I’m not actually in need of a new camera, this Canon Rebel T5 is the one I’ve had for the past year or so and it is AMAZING! It got a spot on this list because I highly recommend it to anyone just starting out on a photography journey.
- Since I do a lot of indoor photography, better flash abilities would be nice to have. In fact, I’m thinking of investing in a whole new lighting kit, but we’ll start small.
- How wonderful it would be to get a new lens? I know I would just about die if I got one for Christmas this year! After doing some research, I’ve decided this one would be the next step up for me.
- I do have a tripod, but part of it broke. Again, if you do any indoor photography, a tripod does wonders for the clarity of your photos.
- Finally, a remote trigger would be nice for getting clearer pictures.
Phew! What a list!
Now before you think I’m pretty greedy for wanting ALL this stuff; I’m not. This is just a “wish list”, right?
Maybe you are a DIY Mom who loves taking pretty pictures. Maybe you are a blogger. Whoever you are, there’s sure to be something on the lists above that you are thinking, “Yes! That’s it” to. If so, be sure to forward this post to your loved ones so you can get exactly what you want this Christmas (instead of the typical “I-didn’t-know-what-else-to-get-so-I-got-you-this” gift.
